Background:
Continuing the remarkable success of Juno’s Blank Canvas competitions, Juno Gin is excited to invite artist portfolio submissions for their 2024 Seasonal Gin Releases.
The spotlight is on you – the artists – as Juno Gin seeks to adorn their bottles with original artwork created by four talented individuals from various corners of New Zealand.
These artists will be chosen from Juno’s Blank Canvas call-out, a platform that invites participants to contribute their creativity to the crafting of the 2024 seasonal gin labels.
Please submit your portfolio or concept design and Juno will select successful participants to commission the next Seasonal labels.
Check out our past Blank Canvas winners here.
The Theme:
In this new chapter, the theme is “In Tune,” and it’s your task as vibrant members of our creative community to capture this concept in your distinctive style.
Your mission is to vividly illustrate what it means to be “in tune” and to seamlessly connect this notion with your chosen season (Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring).
Your artistic creation will grace a black background, and be accentuated by the Juno logo in the elegance of Copper Foil.
Key Dates:
Share your portfolio or concept design with us by Friday 20th October.
Artist selections will be made by Monday 30th October and the successful participants will be commissioned to finalise the seasonal design label.
The eagerly anticipated labels and winners will be announced on Monday 11th December, 2023.
The Prize:
As a tribute to your creativity, there are four enticing prizes in the mix – one for each seasonal gin release. Each label’s triumphant artist will be rewarded with $1000 in cash and a much-coveted 2024 seasonal release 4-pack of gin.
The Brief:
Juno’s meticulously handcrafted, small-batch seasonal recipes are masterminded to take our refined gin enthusiasts on a journey brimming with flavour, inspired by the unique spirit of each season. This year, we invite artists to translate their personal experience of feeling “in tune and connected to the world around them” through their art. This visual storytelling should unfold on a black canvas with the Juno logo rendered in the timeless allure of Copper Foil. Feel free to incorporate the copper element in your design to evoke a distinctive impact.
How to submit your artwork:
Feel free to submit your existing portfolio or concept design with us at blankcanvas@strategycollective.co.nz and please ensure to include your name and contact details.
