A word from Jo
Winter is always a time for the comforts of home – early evenings in front of the fire, good books and comfort food.
We have had fun over the years playing with these concepts, ranging from a bit of a push back on the idea of comfort and instead embracing the cold starkness with Winter ’22, through to fantasizing tropical island escapes with Winter ’21. So this year, it was quite heart-warming to think of home and family and warmth.
Tapping into the idea of the mid-winter Christmas and the oh-so-English figgy pudding, we have created a gin imbued with all the warmth of hot toddies. Featuring Fig Leaf, Honey and Christmas Spices, our Winter 2024 Limited Edition Seasonal Gin is rich and unctuous, redolent with dried fruits and spices – a step away from the summer citrus zing.
Still rich with the pine-y juniper notes but given a different winter character, this gin pairs well with tonic but also makes an awesome dessert cocktail.
We enjoyed distilling this on some of the coldest days of winter – nothing like a hot still on a cold winter’s day!
Here’s to a mid-Winter toast to you from the team here at Juno!

Congratulations to our Winning Artist – Veronica Ek
My artwork “Eternal” makes me think of balance.. the cosmos.. something untouchable yet familiar…I guess thats abstract art for you 😉
My name is Veronica and I am a Christchurch based artist. I was born and raised in Norway where I studied Design and Photography. Prior to moving to New Zealand I lived a fairly nomadic life traveling the world, doing seasonal work at skydive clubs to fund my travels. Moving to Christchurch was the first time I stood still long enough to lean into my passion for painting and creating art. I work in many different mediums and styles, always eager to pursue a new skill!
My interpretation of “in tune” is a feeling you get while experiencing something, either hiking in the mountains, listening to music or in my case painting a painting, “Eternal” was one of those paintings where everything went right and I felt completely in tune with my creation, hopefully that translates into the finished artwork. Thank you so much Juno Gin for choosing my art for this collection.
