A Tasty Taranaki Tale Of Sustainability
Juno’s limited edition seasonal release gin, Winter 2019, will feature two of Egmont Honey’s products: Manuka Honey and Lemon ‘N Honey. Manuka, known for its unique properties and its complex flavour, has strong earthy characteristics when compared to other honeys. Lemon ‘N Honey brings a mix of natural lemon flavours and creamy white clover, which is much milder in taste, but a perfect compliment.
Jo James, who owns Juno Gin with her husband, Dave James, says “We quite often think of gin as a citrusy and refreshing drink in the summer, but there’s something about the golden warmth of honey that makes it an ideal flavour for a winter drink. This gin tastes like a golden ball of pollen, it’s delicious and quite sensuous.”
